The Whiskey River Band has offered “the finest Southern Boogie North of Dixie” since 1987. Although primarily a Southern Rock band, they also incorporate Country, Blues and funky Soul into their sets. The Whiskey River Band are four time winners of The New Haven Advocate's (local A&E paper) "Best Of" for Southern Rock/Country music - by enough of a landslide to cause them to retire the category for several years in the early 90s. The Whiskey River Band's music is currently on heavy rotation on internet-based station AllSouthernRock.com as well as on various podcasts worldwide. Additionally, they self-released two CDs: Northern Lights in the Southern Skies (1991, re-mastered and re-released in June 2007) and It's About Time (January 2007).
